Intensive Prevention Services Case Manager

ROLE:

The IPS Case Manager will assist at-risk youth in achieving socially and academically through intensive comprehensive programming; and prevent at-risk youths’ entry or re-entry into the Child Welfare system. The Intensive Prevention Services (IPS) case manger works in tandem with the IPS Counselor and is responsible for conducting meetings at client’s school, collection of attendance and academic reports, home visits, and participating in site based programming.

 

Salary: $30,024.00 to$33,024.00 Salary is based on experience and  “unsocial” work hours.

 HOURS OF WORK

Assignments are based on a 40-hour week. Weekly schedules are developed based upon the on- site programming. Case managers will work primarily in the late morning/late afternoon and evenings, specifically during the school year and at weekends to provide maximum involvement with the family and the identified clients which runs after school during the academic year.

 Minimum requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, or related field with two to three years experience working with at-risk youth and families within the child welfare system. Satisfactory clearances including FBI background check not dated more than 60 days prior to hire. Must have a valid driver’s license and the daily use of automobile with current and valid auto insurance.
